A new collaborative Atelier by @idolly.art is opening inside the historic Monastery of St. Gabriel in Prague — a space where contemporary art, personal dialogue, and creative process come together.
The studio unites three artists working across different mediums and artistic approaches:
— MgA. Daria Borshch / @idolly.art — fine art
— Anastasiia Romanova / @aromanovad_art — fine art & digital art
— Elizaveta Konyukhova / @lisakonyukhova — photographer
The new studio is envisioned as more than a traditional atelier. It will function as a living creative space for meetings, conversations, and deeper encounters with art. By appointment, visitors will be able to attend private painting viewings, portrait sessions, interviews, consultations, and individual art lessons with Daria.
The location itself carries a strong artistic and symbolic meaning. The Monastery of St. Gabriel, located in Prague’s Smíchov district, is one of the city’s most unique artistic and spiritual landmarks. Built between 1888 and 1891, it was designed in the rare Beuron Art School style — a movement combining symbolism, sacred geometry, Byzantine influences, and spiritual aesthetics. Its interiors are still considered among the most important surviving examples of Beuronese art in the world.

This atmosphere naturally resonates with the work of Daria Borshch. Her paintings often explore archetypes, emotional states, human duality, and inner transformation — themes closely connected to the Beuron movement’s search for harmony between image, space, and spiritual experience. Within the former monastery walls, these ideas gain an entirely new context: a place once dedicated to silence and contemplation becomes a contemporary environment for dialogue through art.

Historically, the Monastery of St. Gabriel was a place where artistic practice, education, and everyday life coexisted. The new Atelier-Studio continues this idea in a modern form — as an open creative space for artistic production, exchange, and human connection.
Visits are available by appointment only.
