Description
The Zebra is my playful ode to contrast — black and white, wild and soft, naive and wise. Split into three panels like a puzzle you can almost rearrange, she stands on fresh green grass under a pure blue sky, turning her smiling face towards you with wide, honest eyes.
This zebra doesn’t care about perfect patterns — her stripes are a reminder that life itself is a little imperfect, a little childlike, and beautifully offbeat. She belongs to the same world as my faceless Whoman figures — creatures that hold our softer, freer side, the side that remembers how to see the world like a child: simple, funny, sincere.
The Zebra lives somewhere between a page from a children’s book and a gentle wink to grown-ups — a zebra who knows it’s okay to be unusual, to stand out, to stay playful no matter how serious the world gets.
Size: 96 × 72 cm (with frame) — oil on canvas, triptych.
