Title: iDolly – The Doll
Medium: Oil on canvas
Size: 20 × 30 cm
This painting captures the essence of my artistic alter ego — a small, unsettlingly sweet doll dressed in a glossy red costume with pointed ears and a delicate white ruff. Her wide, glassy eyes look directly at the viewer, suspended somewhere between innocence and quiet rebellion.
The figure is inspired by the character of iDolly: a symbolic extension of myself, a puppet-being that reflects the tension between playfulness and vulnerability, identity and disguise. Painted in rich oils, the doll feels both alive and inanimate, as if caught in the space between a toy and a persona.
Intimate in scale but emotionally charged, this work explores how we construct versions of ourselves — the masks we wear, the roles we perform, and the inner child that never quite disappears.
